As a passionate group of architects and analysts who spent years implementing enterprise technology applications for large complex organizations, we saw a major flaw in how they approached business transformation initiatives.

Major decisions were being made with fragmented, disconnected business knowledge that didn’t give a true representation of how a business actually worked and how it delivered value to customers.

If you can’t describe the business model, precisely and unambiguously, how can you transform and improve it?

The reality is that you can’t without experiencing rework, cost blowouts, and poor outcomes caused by trying to solve the wrong problem or delivering a result that customers didn’t value.

So, we set out to fix that by asking ourselves, “How do you help businesses make smarter business decisions?”

Like any good question, it led down a pathway that ended with an idea.

Better decision-making required intelligent insights into the inner workings of the entire business to be easily surfaced when and where it’s needed.

This includes all the relationships between previously siloed and disjointed knowledge and all the moving parts of your business that seemed impossible to reconcile and align.

So that’s what we set out to do.

The idea formed the basis for a PhD thesis that dissected and analysed the fundamental building blocks of business, which then became the foundation for Capsifi.

The result is more than just an enterprise architecture solution. It’s an entire methodology and platform for dynamically capturing, planning, designing and analyzing complete business operating models that can be communicated clearly and unambiguously across business and technology teams throughout the organization.

With your business model clearly defined and understood, Capsifi de-risks business transformation and innovation initiatives by unearthing hidden knowledge and intelligent insights into the inner workings of your business that supports complex decision-making.

Ultimately, Capsifi turns your business model into an enduring, incrementally evolving strategic asset for innovation and transformation.
